Splitero fees in short

Short answer

Splitero charges a 4.99% origination fee (minimum $1,500) plus third-party closing costs, all deducted from your proceeds. There's no interest and no monthly payment; the main long-term cost is the share of your home's value you repay, limited by a 17.99% yearly Safety Cap.

Origination fee by investment amount

Splitero origination fee examples
Investment4.99% feeBefore third-party costs
$50,000$2,495$47,505
$75,000$3,742$71,258
$100,000$4,990$95,010
$150,000$7,485$142,515
$250,000$12,475$237,525
$400,000$19,960$380,040
$600,000$29,940$570,060

Because Splitero's minimum investment is $50,000, the $1,500 floor never applies in practice — 4.99% of $50,000 is already $2,495.

The cost you pay at the end

The biggest cost isn't the fee — it's the repurchase. You owe your Split Percentage times your home's value when you settle, up to the Safety Cap. Splitero's own example: access 10% of your home's value today, give up 20% of its future value. Here's how that plays out on a $400,000 home with a $40,000 investment:

Frequently asked questions

Does Splitero charge interest?
No. There's no interest rate. Splitero's return comes from the Split Percentage of your home's future value, limited by the Safety Cap.
Is the Splitero fee paid out of pocket?
Normally no. The origination fee and third-party costs are deducted from the cash you receive at closing.
Are there prepayment penalties?
No. You can repurchase any time without a penalty, though early settlement is where the Safety Cap tends to set your cost.
